C. Wayne's Story
For all my classmates from McAllen, I am going to post a picture of my first grade class that was taken in 1955 in Mrs. Reid's class. What I would like for anyone to do is tell me who my first grade classmates are. I actually recognized many of them but many of them I did not recognize. So have fun trying to figure out who they are and let me know.
Since graduating from McHi in 1967, I received my BA from Houston Baptist University in 1971, was married in 1972, recieved my Master of Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary School of Music in 1977, served as Minister of Music in Baptist Churches for 20+ years, three boys were born during that time (all Texans), graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1991, opened my practice in Dickinson that same year, filed for divorce in 1995, remarried in 1996 (to a phenomenal woman)(life is good again), my clinic was destroyed by Hurricane Ike, I am in the process of rebuilding, and in additi...Expand for more
on to my chiropractic practice, I am back in the music ministry at a Methodist Church in Santa Fe, Texas.
I have a wonderful health and wellness practice where my wife and I help our patients live a healthy vibrant life without drugs, surgery, chemo or radiation. We use all natural medicines such as vitamins, minerals, herbs, homeopathy, amino acids, and bio-identical hormones.
For my classmates from Houston Baptist University, what ever happened to the Coreons? I was a member of that fraternity until Johnnie Davis and David Elkins tried to vote me out because of differences of opinion about the direction that the club was going. I got my feelings hurt and resigned the next day. I joined with Mike Davis and the Snoroc (Coreons spelled backward). I enjoyed my experience with the club when I was rushed for membership but the changes that were being suggested took too much away from the tradition of the club. I still have my pin and bib that I wore as a pledge.
